Overview

Welcome to Waipu Cove Palm Cottage, an eclectic Kiwiana bach right in the heart of Waipu Cove!

This four-bedroom home enjoys stunning expansive sea and island views over Bream Bay, with an easy walk down the walkway to the white sands and patrolled surf beach below.

Grab your surfboard, go fishing, or explore The Bay with the complimentary kayaks provided! If you want to stretch the legs, why not venture along the scenic coastal walk around the many private bays to Lang’s Beach.

Just down the hill is the Waipu Cove General Store, the iconic dairy where Rachel Hunter launched her modelling career! Enjoy an ice cream or grab the necessities for your stay. The Cove Cafe is also close for your all-important morning caffeine fix, evening fine dining, or good ol' Kiwi fish'n'chips on the beach.

The historic town of Waipu is a short drive away with plenty to see and do, including the award-winning McLeod’s Pizza Barn & Brewery, or The Waipu Caves to explore the glowworms, stalactites and stalagmites.

After a fun-filled day, you can stay connected with the provided WIFI, watch Netflix on the Smart TV, throw on a DVD, or check out the waves from the deck with a cold one, while you crank up the BBQ with the catch of the day.

For a classic Kiwi coastal getaway, choose Waipu Cove Palm Cottage!

Lovely home with gorgeous views. We were all nice and warm with slightly cooler April nights. Great spot for a family getaway, plenty of space.

Awesome spot overlooking Waipu cove, with views all the way along the coast to Whangarei heads. Its just a short walk up the hill from the beach. The house is well maintained and decorated. The beds are comfortable and did I mention the views...! Perfect beach getaway for the family.

Well equipped and located house, in a generally quiet street. Close to the beach and any other attractions (caves, walks, larger city...) one might want on a holiday. The house is quite extensively decorated, which provides some of its charm but also gives opportunities for items to gather dust and makes it more difficult to clean the house. In addition it also provides risk for younger kids to break or misplace items. There is a great outdoor space with beautiful views and providing all the comforts one could want to have a relaxed holiday. We loved our stay and will be back! The 2 layers of the house are not connected but that posed no issue, it actually worked quite well and our son (7yo) whom made it into his little ‘kingdom’ ;)
