About the location

The stunning Banks Peninsula is located on the East Coast of the South Island. It is home to two large harbours and many small bays and towns such as the beautiful Akaroa. With an area that spans approximately 1,150 square kilometres there's plenty to see and do. Experience the peninsula on foot with one of the many hikes in the area, or spend time on the water sea kayaking with the amazing marine wildlife!

    “This property was idyllic for us and me in particular, as I knew the area well.”

    The layout of the rooms suited us perfectly and we spent many hours watching and listening to the conversations and activities of the swans and geese on the lake just a few metres below us. There are many other bird species as well.. The expansive views are beautiful in several directions and we loved the wild environment as much as the beauty.
