    “If you're looking for top tier, this is not it.”

    However, if you're looking for a nostalgic, classic kiwi bach that reminds you of your holidays growing up in the Coromandel (and now gives you the chance to give your kids the same opportunity) then this is bang on! Comfortable and low maintenance, a few minor tweaks would make this perfect. Please note, being a Lockwood this does creak and move as the wood shrinks and expands from the heat. While this is normal, it's something to keep in mind.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

On those warm summer nights, take it outside and fire up the BBQ for a big kiwi cook up, fresh off the grill. When the sun's out and the family is in need of an ice-cream the local shop is within a 5-minute drive. Or when you need more snacking supplies or you don't feel like cooking, the cafe, bar and restaurant and takeaway are all right by the local shop. To get the heart rate up and enjoy some exploring, head up to the summit of Mount Pauanui. The wonderful views out over the surrounding scenery, make for one heck of a reward at the top. About the location

Just over 2 hours from Auckland, Pauanui is one of the most popular holiday towns in the Coromandel. Pauanui enjoys white sand beaches with a surf life saving club and a number of walking tracks including the Mount Pauanui summit track, which will give you stunning views of the coastline and out to the Mercury Islands.
