Beautiful 'Old School' 70's Kiwi Bach. Absolutely loved our stay, it had everything we needed and was a 5 minute walk to the beach. Very private, with a lovely sunny deck surrounded by a Pohutukawa tree. We would love to stay here again!!

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. Weâll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Like something straight out of a fairytale, this charming and tranquil three-bedroom home is just 400m from the white sand and blue water of Pauanui Beach. Welcome to Once Upon a Tide. Filled with natural light, right up to its dramatic vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, the living open-plan living and dining space here at Once Upon a Time is styled to make you feel right at home. Do just as the couch cushion says, and sit back and relax. Set the ideal temperature on the heat pump, or open up the doors and windows and let the cool breeze and enchanting birdsong fill the house. Delve into a book on the reclining chair, gather around for a family board game challenge, or have yourself a well-deserved siesta on the day bed. A well-equipped galley kitchen is on hand to prepare delicious holiday meals for your family and friends. Play your favourite tunes on the Bose Bluetooth speaker and enjoy a few cold ones as you grill up a storm on the BBQ and dine alfresco long into the warm summer evening. The large deck is the ideal spot to unwind after a tough day of chilling at the beach! Three bedrooms comfortably sleep up to seven guests here at Once Upon a Time. Enjoy the leafy green outlook through the windows, and embrace the rustic beach lifestyle with the outdoor ablutions! When you wake in the morning, enjoy a fresh cup of Nespresso coffee as you listen to the morning chorus. With plenty to see and do in the area, youâll have no problem making a plan for the day. Perhaps youâve brought the boat and parked it on the large lawn ready for the perfect conditions to go fishing - the boat ramp is just a five-minute drive away. Or perhaps youâre after a bit of exercise to start the day - the tracks to the top of Mt Pauanui and Cave Bay are just a few minutes walk from home. With the beach just a 400m walk from home, we know youâll be spending a good chunk of time there! When you need to top up on supplies, or you fancy a casual bite to eat out, the local shops are a four-minute drive away. For something a little fancier, why not wander up the road to the Grand Mecure Puka Park Resort and try out the fare at Miha Restaurant and Bar. Get lost in the magic and make your own stories to tell generations to come, here at Once Upon a Tide.
All guests should take extra care when using the upper bunks on the triple bunk beds. They do have fixed ladders and guard-rails to prevent falls.

Just over 2 hours from Auckland, Pauanui is one of the most popular holiday towns in the Coromandel. Pauanui enjoys white sand beaches with a surf life saving club and a number of walking tracks including the Mount Pauanui summit track, which will give you stunning views of the coastline and out to the Mercury Islands. The town itself has many great cafes and shops, as well as a golf course. All of our Pauanui holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
