There was almost no cellphone coverage on either network (we had OneNZ and Spark phones) and without WIFI we were relying on cellphone coverage to ensure we had internet and able to easily contact family. This was not specified on the listing and would have led to us not booking this property at all as we needed regular contact by phone for personal family reasons. You had to roam the property waving your phone in the air to get uncertain coverage for seconds, only to lose the caller mid-sentence. It was also incredibly hot indoors and a health and safety issue with the high temps indoors. There was inadequate cooling for a large home with just one fan. We asked about this immediately on arrival and the solution was to provide more fans which only happened after 5 days...essentially half our stay in intense heat meaning we didn't actually stay in much when at times we would have preferred to. We struggled to sleep in the heat and have readings of 28 degrees celcius at.10pm in the bedrooms with the fan going. The home has all the amenities that we needed otherwise and would have been a great stay if it hadn't been for these two very big issues. We have raised a dispute regarding these and Bachcare have assured us that it is being reviewed but yet to get an outcome.

Due to the location of the property, there is no WiFi and cellphone coverage is limited and we have updated this on the listing. Over the summer months, temperatures can be warmer than usual, fans are provided at the property to assist with cooling. We apologise that one of these were not working properly and there are now 3 fans available for guest use. Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. Weâll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
