Step inside and you’ll find a welcoming, open-plan living space that captures the essence of easy holiday living. The lounge is bright and breezy, with comfortable furnishings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. A compact kitchen provides all the essentials for preparing meals during your stay, and the dining area is perfect for casual breakfasts or evening dinners after a day outdoors. This one-bedroom retreat sleeps up to four guests, with a queen bed and a set of bunks in the same room a great setup for a couple with young children. Please note, the bunks are suitable for children only. A tidy bathroom completes the interior, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. Step outside to enjoy the coastal air whether you're sipping your morning coffee, reading a book in the sun, or planning the day’s adventures. The beach is just a short stroll away, where you can swim, surf, fish, or explore the wide sandy shoreline. Please note that this property is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children, the bunk beds are smaller beds and only 1.5 metres long.


Please note: There’s a section of the driveway with sand that is only suitable for 4WD vehicles, as 2WDs may get stuck. The main grassed accessway is fine for 2WDs.

About the location

Mahia Peninsula juts into the Pacific Ocean, and is a favourite spot for many fishermen, surfers, divers and those looking for a memorable beach holiday. Inland from Mahia on the highway between Gisborne and Wairoa are the Morere Hot Springs, which are superbly located in a nikau-predominant native bush reserve. There are some awesome walking tracks to be explored here.

    “I had a fantastic "beach fix" getaway in this great place.”

    I loved the house with all its glass doors. It was clean, warm, comfortable with all the amenities anyone would need. It is only 1 minute walk to the beach and everything is well maintained.
