Linen

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

For the best of summer living, the elevated sundeck with outdoor dining area and large lawn are ideal for BBQ's and family games in the sun, or simply kick back and enjoy the beautiful lakefront scenery. If it's a winter stay you have planned, this home is equipped with both a wood-burning fireplace and heat pump to keep everyone toasty warm. If you're spending your day indoors, there is a TV with SKY TV in the living area and then an additional TV for DVDs in the ground floor lounge as well as a table tennis table! Chalet Mahuta is a 3 storey, 5-bedroom and 2-bathroom holiday home offering well presented open plan living on the middle level opening out to the sundeck. The bedrooms spread across all levels offering plenty of space for the whole family to find a comfy space to call their own. Explore your surroundings with days out on the lake, visiting Huka Falls, or fishing in the Waitahanui River. For the perfect way to end a relaxing or action-packed day is to head down to the beach and watch the sunset over Mt. Ruapehu. All guests are encouraged to use the handrail when accessing the internal stairs to bedroom one on the top floor, as they are quite steep.

Please note, as the property sits alongside State Highway 1, guests should be aware that there will be traffic noise that carries over from this road during their stay.

As the property has no front gate and has direct access to the lake, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.

About the location

Close to Taupo Central, Five Mile Bay is a peaceful settlement on the Eastern shores of Lake Taupo. Spend the day out on the lake, visiting the nearby points of interest around Taupo such as Huka Falls, or fishing in the Waitahanui River. A favourite way to end a relaxing or action-packed day is to head down to the beach and watch the sunset over Mt. Ruapehu.
