Linen
Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Perfectly perched only metres from the lakes edge, you’ll be sure to bring the whole family along for your next lake escape in idyllic Hatepe. Welcome to Hatepe Haven! Best described as a quintessential Kiwi Bach, you’ll have no trouble switching to holiday mode as soon as you set foot into Hatepe Haven. Settle into your dreamy escape by firing up the BBQ, reclining on the outdoor furniture with a chilled drink in hand, and raising a toast to the good times to be had here! Styled with comfort and relaxation in mind, a cosy living room with picture windows is sure to drench this spot in sunlight on a sunny summers' day. Altering the temperature to your taste into the colder months is no issue either, with the wood-burning fireplace offering a cosy winter ambience. A well-equipped kitchen is on hand to ensure you can whip up a delicious feast for everyone with minimum hassle. Full laundry facilities are on hand also, including a drying room, perfect for drying togs and towels after a day of making a splash at the lake! 5 bedrooms, which includes 2 bedrooms in the sleepout, will sleep up to 12 guests here at Hatepe Haven, and 2 generous bathrooms plus the added bonus of an outdoor shower ensure everyone has space to get a good night's rest and recharge for the following day. This Hatepe accommodation is primely positioned less than a minutes' walk from the lakefront, perfect for a spontaneous morning stroll or dip in the crystal-clear lake. After your swim, hop under the refreshing outdoor shower back at home and rinse off before getting stuck into your next lakeside activity. There is boat parking available and when it's time for a day on the lake, boats can be launched straight onto the lake from outside the front of the property. You're just a 16-minute drive from the local shops, eateries, and supermarkets in Taupo if you are wanting to grab a bite to eat, or top up on supplies. The perfect setting for creating unforgettable memories with your loved ones, Hatepe Haven awaits!
Please be aware that Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 are accessed externally from the veranda. There is an adjoining bathroom accessed externally from the main dwelling.
Please note that Bedroom 4 and 5 are located in the sleep-out and are accessed externally, these bedrooms are adjoining with only a curtain separating them. There is an adjacent bathroom accessed externally.
As there are fixed bench seats on a section of the deck, adults should closely supervise young children in this area to ensure they do not climb the deck barrier.
As the property has direct access to the lake, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.
There are two kayaks available to use but guests must bring their own life-jackets to gain access to these.

Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues - The hammock was rotten and broke when we lay on it - The rubbish bin was full when we arrived - there wasn’t enough toilet paper - The floor in the lounge was a bit dirty - There was a sheet pan in the oven that was extremely dirty and oily. We turned on the oven on our arrival, not expecting it, and it smoked the house out with a pretty awful smell - The bunks in the red spinner, one of the ladders, broke off while a child was climbing it. In saying all of that, they are minor issues compared to the lovely time we had there. I just wonder about the cleaning fee, though, as was any done before we arrived?
