    “House was clean and linen was fresh Sadly when we arrived the house was soo hot we had to throw all the windows and doors open to let some air in (We ended up sleeping in separate rooms ).”

    Within 15 mins the house was full of winged insects ,and there was no insect killer .There should be a fan or airconditioning or insect screens on the windows .It was a very uncomfortable first night stay .It was sad because its a lovely venue

Linen

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

Boasting an elevated position to enjoy sweeping rural and lake views, this is Lake View Hideaway! Sleeping up to four guests and providing a bright and relaxed atmosphere, this holiday home is a fabulous space to cater to a small family or a couple on an escape to the lake. Delicious meals can be created in the well-equipped kitchen that seamlessly flows into the dining area where you can dine with the perfect lake backdrop. In the summer, open the large sliding glass doors and step outside to appreciate the stunning beauty and crisp fresh air from the deck. Enjoy a chilled beverage in the sun as the kids play on the flat lawn below. Seize the day and head out on an adventure from your home away from home! This Kuratau accommodation has boat parking available, so bring your vessel along and drive one minute to the Omori boat ramp and launch to catch the fish of the day. Sunny days can be spent challenging your group in a game of tennis on the public court right by the lake, and the kids will love the playground. All this just a three-minute drive away! For some delicious pizza and great coffee, the Floating Rock Café is just a four-minute walk down the road. A wonderful place to spend your next holiday, complete with amazing scenery. Lake View Hideaway awaits you!

There is off-street parking available for one car maximum on the bay at the end of the driveway, where two vehicles can be parked, but as this bay is shared with another property, only one spot on the bay is to be used.
Guests with a third vehicle are asked to please park on the on-street parking available. Garage is not to be used by guests.

Sky TV (Basic) can be available but the reception is intermittent only.

About the location

On the opposite side of the lake to Taupo, Kuratau is a small peaceful town with plenty of outdoor activities on offer. Spend the day out on the water with kayaks, boats and water skis, or go fly fishing for rainbow trout in the Tongariro River. Being further away from the bustle of Taupo, it's also an ideal location for a relaxing holiday to get away from it all. All of our Kuratau holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
