Waitetoko is a very special place for our family- we have been coming here for many years, but this was our first time on the lake front and we are sold! We will defiantly be back soon. Your neighbors were so friendly and made us feel part of the community which was lovely- we got to meet quite a few of the locals who made us feel right at home. Waitetoko is a very special place for our family- we have been coming here for many years, but this was our first time on the lake front and we are sold! We will defiantly be back soon. Your neighbors were so friendly and made us feel part of the community which was lovely- we got to meet quite a few of the locals who made us feel right at home. The house was lovely to stay in, pool table was a big hit. We loved the wee seat on the lake front for our morning coffee and swim too. The house was a great size for our three families to stay and it didn't feel like we were living on top of each other- plenty of space. Some constructive feedback which would have made our stay perfect.. The kitchen was very basic and could do with a bit of love- stove top is awful to cook on (one element not working, and all others have no temp control either going on full or off so was very difficult to cook inside), some platters, bowls etc for serving, basic utensils (tongs, serving spoons, chopping boards for kitchen would be helpful (salad servers had been taped together as broken)- would expect this to be better equipped with the basics in a kitchen, especially for large groups which this house will attract. For a beach house there was no washing line which seems a little odd when there are lots of wet towels etc. Would be helpful to offer this for guests again a basic requirement I would have thought. The write up is slightly misleading as it states the linen and towels would be provided for the duration of the stay but with no dryer or washing line and staying for 3 weeks we had to purchase a second set as no way of drying anything which was a little misleading. Fridge/freezer space in garage would also be helpful for an overflow, again attracting larger groups the main fridge is not suffice for food and drinks. Front 'bedroom' is off the lounge with dividing doors so if people in the lounge it is quite loud. Would be helpful if the outside door to this bedroom has a clip to hold the door back to keep it open. Mattress does not fit on the base of the bed particular well, and not comfortable to sleep on. Other beds/bedrooms were great- lots of space, comfortable beds etc. Overall we absolutely loved our stay at your place, it was one of our favorite holiday homes we have rented as an extended family and do hope that you will have us back again in the future!
