“A large house with plenty of room, large fridge and pantry.”

We were told the afternoon before our stay the top oven was not working. Luckily one of our party bought oven dishes as there was only one dish and one tray for both the ovens and our planned menu required the ovens. Our party consisted of 8, aged 67+. Two of the beds were comfortable. The beds in the bunk room, were very average. The bed in the lakeside bedroom had a very cheap slat bed which fell to pieces during the night as the slats had come away from the tape (the mattress was also ‘filthy’). Despite contacting Bachcare on a number of occasions, no help (or recompense) was forthcoming or has been over the last two weeks since our stay. One of the cleaners called around on the Sunday but nothing has been heard since. If you want a comfortable night’s sleep, this is not the house for you.

“Ngā mihi Korimako house our whānau/family had the best stay.”

Massive house footsteps from the lake, so much space for everyone to relax and enjoy our holiday. The pool table was hit for the men in the evenings. Highly recommended this property we can't wait to return. Warm regards Buffy&Brodie

“We have had an awesome time.”

Lovely home and perfect for two families. The BBQ was clean and we left it spotless as well. However I do have a complaint. My husband and I had to sleep in the last bedroom with outside doors but we were unable to use the duvet. It was covered with white dog hair. Not just one or two..infested and it was really really dirty. Full of brown spots and smelly. Ended up just sleeping under our top sheet. Luckily it was not that cold. I feel that the previous people's dog must have slept in the bed. That was our only bad experience. Otherwise

Modern and spacious, Korimako is a lakeside holiday home perched on the southern edge of Lake Taupo! Comprised of four well-appointed bedrooms, this holiday home comfortably sleeps up to ten guests. With two full-sized bathrooms one with a bath and the other with a spa bath, plus an additional separate toilet, this accommodation is functional for larger groups while providing luxurious features! With an open-plan living area perfectly positioned for expansive lake views, this is an ideal space to relax and unwind. The kitchen is fresh and modern with high-quality appliances and an island bench which flows through to the dining table. Curl up on one of the couches and make use of the complimentary Smart TV and WiFi! This holiday home has plenty of added perks. There is a separate rumpus room which is equipped with a snooker table, three heat pumps throughout, an internal access garage, as well as plenty of indoor-outdoor flow leading to extensive decking! Fire up the BBQ and take in the views. In this lakeside location, the shores of Lake Taupo are quite literally in your backyard! The settlement of Waitetoko is located on the southern side of Lake Taupo, you’re in a handy spot between Turangi and Taupo, just 20 and 40-minute drives, respectively. Make the most of the lake – Korimako awaits!

As the property has unfenced access to the lake, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.

Pets are welcome at the property, however please refrain from having them on the beds and furniture.
