Anna “Thank you. I filled in your questionnaire but at the bottom, it said "invalid reply" so am not sure you got it.”
Anyway, a very comfortable, welcoming bach. The big hiccup was no hot water on our first night - both gas bottles were empty. Bachcare said we'd called outside business hours and after a few attempts to talk to someone, Bachcare said they'd send someone the next morning. At 8.30pm, we found a small bbq gas bottle in the garage which we used and managed quick hot showers that night. That mistake should never have happened. A comment on the bach info on line should mention about the undrinkable tap water so people can come prepared with bottled water. We had to buy 3 large bottles the following day. A large sun umbrella would have been good, for the outside porch. Having access to the wardrobe in the first bedroom would have been great rather than stacking clothes on the floor. Apart from the above comments, we really enjoyed the beautiful bach. And we appreciated being able to extend our departure time by 2 hours. Regards Anna
Hi Anna, Thanks for your feedback, we have taken it onboard and am purchasing a sun umbrella to shade the outdoor furniture when it is out. We are also arranging to have the large gas bottles set up so they are used one at a time rather than auto switching. That way we will know when a bottle is empty and can arrange to have a new one delivered but there will also be a full bottle always available to switch too. It’s a bit of a learning for us as with the set up as we have never had them completely empty before. Bachcare contacted us re the gas and we suggested the small gas bottles after doing some online research but it sounds like you were already ahead of us. We arranged for the emergency exchange on Sat morning with Genesis Energy and signed off on extending your stay through to mid afternoon if required so I am not sure why Bachcare restricted the timing to Midday. We are also looking to get some work done on the water filters which will hopefully ensure the reticulated water tastes better. It’s not something that we have had guests comment on previously so hasn’t been on our radar. There are actually pull out draws under the bed in the main bedroom for guests to use as the lockable wardrobe is full of cleaning products and personal gear. We have added that info to the bach information so future guests know they are there. We do want people to enjoy the Bach as much as we do so really value your constructive feedback. Many thanks Shane and Leanne Bachcare
