Linen
Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
A seaside settlement of absolute natural wonder, Kaikoura is sure to blow you away, and to complete your picturesque escape to this stunning coast is The Kaikōura Bach! A contemporary atmosphere with tidy and stylish furnishings and an air of holiday comfort, this holiday home will not disappoint. It will be hard not to lose track of time and feel the stress just melt away when your holiday could be so effortless and have everything from mountain ranges to glorious marine life. The Kaikōura Bach is a four-bedroom, two-bathroom, holiday home that delivers all the essentials, plus some. Enjoy WiFi to keep you connected, a Smart TV with Freeview and DVD player for entertainment, and of course the heat pump for year-round comfort. In the summer head outside onto the sundeck where you'll be able to fire up the BBQ for a full-flavoured classic meal; a Kiwi must-have. Catch some sun while you lie out on a bean bag looking across to the water. There is even a handy cricket set to make use of when you head over the road to the beach. When you get home off the beach, the outdoor shower is a welcome amenity to help you rinse the last bits of sand off the feet before you head indoors. The local swimming and snorkelling beach is within walking distance or Whale Watch Kaikōura and the Kaikōura Peninsula Walkway are also just a few minutes walk away. It's only a short five-minute drive to the centre of Kaikoura with all its cafes, restaurants and shops. Be sure to get out onto 'Tom's Track', a great 20-minute walk over the hill into Kaikoura with spectacular views well worth viewing. A stellar stay awaits you at The Kaikōura Bach!

About the location
Kaikoura is watched over by the majestic mountain ranges that stretch down towards the rugged east coast of the South Island. Kaikoura is most well known for its whale watching opportunities, which attract visitors from across the world. Tours depart Kaikoura to allow visitors the chance to catch glimpses of giant sperm whales, dolphins, fur seals, and the rare royal albatrosses. For those who are more adventurous, there are chances to don a wetsuit and swim with many of the wonderful creatures found on the Kaikoura Coastline. The annual Kaikoura Hop in September and the Kaikoura Races over Marlborough Anniversary Weekend in November are popular highlights that attract many visitors each year. For history buffs, Kaikoura offers the chance to learn about the early whaling and sealing days of the district, as well as Maori History, and a number of historic buildings. There are also a number of walks to explore, one which takes visitors past some spectacular limestone caves, and seal colonies.

Perfect for catching up with friends and relaxing. The house was beautiful and modern. Loved the large kitchen, we purchased and added measuring cups to the drawer as we couldn't find any. Our only note was there wasn't quite enough consumables (toilet paper and dishwasher tablets) for the length of our stay. We had to purchase some more. Thanks for having us!

Thanks so much for your kind review. We’re glad you enjoyed the beachfront location and the beautiful, modern home! We appreciate you adding measuring cups to the kitchen. Just for future reference, there is a good glass measuring cup stored in the corner cupboard. Regarding consumables, the property is stocked with at least two dishwasher tablets per day of stay, located under the sink. The dishwasher holds 10, so this usually covers typical use. Toilet paper is also well stocked, around 10–12 rolls across the bathrooms, with extras stored in cupboards and drawers. Some may have been missed, especially in the main bathroom next to the toilet.
