Linen
Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Surrounded by native bush and outlooking the picturesque Belvue Bay, Thirsty Weta Belvue is situated on the doorstep of the stunning Marlborough Sounds! This funky bach sleeps up to four guests over two bedrooms, comprising a queen and two singles. Meanwhile, the full-size bathroom is modern, fresh and convenient for your stay! The open-plan living area is light and airy. A bright and functional kitchen with a breakfast bar is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning toast! Set the dining table and take a seat as the ocean glimmers in the distance. The lounge, which provides a heat pump and Smart TV, is homely and comfortable. Snuggle in and make the most of the complimentary WiFi! Boasting indoor-outdoor flow, this holiday home makes the most of its scenic setting. Step through the ranch slider and onto the expansive decking. Plenty of outdoor seating and a BBQ means you can really make the most of these breathtaking views! Take a quick stroll down the hill and find the beautiful Belvue Bay! Make sure to bring the toys, as these tranquil waters are ideal for a wide range of water activities including kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and swimming! This accommodation provides two kayaks, a paddle board, provided lifejackets, a fish cleaning sink, as well as a mooring suitable for vessels up to 6 metres. In this Marlborough Sounds location, you’re a quick 11-minute drive to Havelock village which provides a Four Square, cafes, restaurants and Havelock Marina! Meanwhile, the start of the Queen Charlotte Track at Anakiwa is only a 13-minute drive away. You’re also only 38 minutes from the ferry terminal at Picton, while Blenheim is 42 minutes down the road. Make the most of the Marlborough Sounds - Thirsty Weta Belvue awaits!
Please note some areas of the deck does not have adequate barriers and children should be supervised at all times to prevent falls.
Please note that there is a Laundromat that can be used down the road for washing cloths
The property has unfenced access to the beach, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.
There are life-jackets available to use with the kayaks and paddle board, but we do recommend that guests bring their own well-fitting life-jackets to ensure safety.
Please clean all caught fish at the fish cleaning station before bringing them into the premises.
Please note the driveway is steep and there is only room for one car. (Vehicles must only park on concreted area).

About the location
Dubbed the greenshell mussel capital of the world, Havelock is located in the heart of the Marlborough Sounds. From here you can take a charter boat through the Mahau and Perlous Sounds (keep an eye out for dolphins along the way). “The location of the property and view from the back deck is beautiful.”
We loved using the kayacks. The outdoor table is great for meals and relaxing. The beanbags were a nice find. Comfy bed, be clean sheets. Kitchen week equipped. However, there were a few issues for us. Firstly the property was not very clean. Maybe no one had stayed for a while but there was alot of dirt and grim around. The bedroom curtains were stuck together and pretty gross!! Then there was a handwritten note "if you have any problems with the shower you can use next door" What kind of ...

And next door where? There was a type of granny flat behind the main accomodation but there were clothes and shoes there like someone was living there. Would they just return home to find us showering? So we tried the shower and the drain was blocked so it overflowed. Maybe next time just ring or email and explain, or just get it fixed? Very odd. Also the driveway is hard to spot and could have better signage. You also need to be a good reverser up the steep driveway thro a narrow gateway. Could be a really lovely property with a bit more love.
