The bedrooms are thoughtfully appointed, each offering comfortable beds and serene décor. With a mix of queen and king single bedding configurations, the home is well-suited to couples, families, or small groups. Two full bathrooms add to your stay's convenience. The main house has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom whilst the two separate chalets have a Queen bed in each and one other bathroom. Located in the heart of Linkwater, this home offers easy access to the spectacular Queen Charlotte Track, nearby secluded beaches, and the iconic vineyards of Marlborough. The nearby Havelock Marina provides opportunities for kayaking, fishing, or indulging in local green-lipped mussels. Whether you’re seeking adventure or a peaceful escape, Linkwater Wonder offers the perfect balance and the best of the Marlborough Sounds!
Please note that the two chalets and one bathroom are separate from the main house with no internal access and would not be suitable for young children.
As the property has unfenced access to the beach, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.
Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.

Julia “We absolutely loved the view from this property!”
Just stunning! We had a fantastic family holiday, but to be honest the house was not what we were expecting. There were some very quirky features, such as not having internal access from upstairs to downstairs and a couple of doors that didn't lead anywhere. There was a huge empty space downstairs which could have been put to better use with an ensuite for the bedroom so that we didn't have to walk out in the rain to use the bathroom at night. This space had part of a kitchen, but not enough to be usable (there was a dishwasher, but no fridge, despite there being one on the photos) and features like a TV mounted on the wall that couldn't be plugged in anywhere. There were no bedside tables in the downstairs studio. There wasn't a bin provided in the main kitchen or the outside bathroom. We had to improvise with cardboard boxes and liners we had brought with us. There was also a TV in the twin bedroom upstairs but with nowhere to plug it in. We're guessing Bachcare haven't been out to view the bach, because it did feel a bit unsafe to have only one access into the upstairs of the house and no other means of escaping in the event of a fire (especially given that the smoke alarm was missing). The ranchslider in the lounge is permanently closed because it would otherwise open out onto a 3 metre drop (the ad made it sound like it opened onto a deck, but there is no deck - perhaps it means the downstairs dining area?). Above the sink in the carport, there was a light hanging down by broken wiring. There were only enough sofa seats for five people, so we had to take turns on the window seat, which wasn't very comfortable as it didn't have any sort of cushioning for your back. There were things missing that we'd assumed would be there - a ladle, serving spoons, oven gloves, heatproof mats, coasters. It was basic accommodation which felt like a work in progress. I'm sure it will be absolutely amazing when it is completed! But for over $2000 for three nights, we were expecting something a bit more luxurious. Besides the quirkiness of the house, our other main concern was that we were billed over $200 for cleaning, but the property had not been well cleaned when we arrived. The shower drain (in the external bathroom) was partially blocked. We found old band aids and other rubbish in the vanity drawer in the external bathroom (possibly because no bin was provided). There was something brown and crusty on the outside of the toilet bowl on the inside toilet. There was a dirty plate in the kitchen cupboard along with a pan that looked like it had been used to cook baked beans and not been washed. The previous tenant had left a broken glass along with a note explaining what had happened which we found in a drawer. Under the same set of drawers (the one the printer sits on) was an old red onion. There were piles of dust and cobwebs in corners and the carpet hadn't been vacuumed in the lounge. The outside fish cleaning sink was covered in a green film - maybe that's normal? All of these things you can kind of shrug off when it's a bach without a cleaning fee, even laugh about it, but this was the most expensive bach we stayed at in Marlborough and it didn't feel like great value for money. We would really appreciate at least being reimbursed the cleaning fee. That said, it didn't spoil our holiday. The beds were comfy. We loved drinking in the views of the Sounds from the living room and we used the bach as a base for visiting Picton, Havelock and Blenheim. We had a lovely meal at the Queen Charlotte Tavern. The Bachcare team did send an email after our first night asking us to rate our stay so far using a smiley face, but I ignored it because although we had been a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the accommodation and with the discovery that we couldn't move between upstairs and downstairs without going outside, we were thrilled with the location and thought some of the quirks were just pretty funny. How do you grade all that with a smiley face?
Good morning Julia my name is Tania I own the property and are so sorry to hear of your bad experience. We hear what you are saying and have contacted Bach care on the cleanliness issue as this is simply not good enough. We haven’t owned the property long and yes it is a work in progress when funds available, have noted your concerns and will remedy what we can immediately ie rubbish bins , utensils, remove the tv’s , and old fire alarm bracket(new one works fine) we just had to replace the oven and dishwasher recently and a few weeks ago the bottom fridge packed it in so we removed it, this will be replaced also , I hope Bachcare come to the party with the cleaning fee as the state you found the property in is completely not acceptable , I am so glad you still enjoyed your holiday.
