“The property location was amazing.”
The view is spectacular. The listing was not accurate however. There was no mention of the second bathroom being outside. It also stated that there were three beds on one level and a bath (accurate) but then the fourth bedroom and bathroom on the second level (inaccurate). We couldn't use the fourth bedroom as it was so far away from a bathroom. We were travelling with my 80 year old father in law and two young children. The main reason we chose the property was that my FIL could have his own bathroom. This meant that we had to take the kids outside to go to the bathroom and face the onslaught of the mosquitos. The house had an awful smell. The lower level smelled like insect killer and another bedroom smelled like vomit. I wasn't surprised to find a recently used children's paracetamol bottle behind the mirror in the main bedroom - assume that a sick child had just stayed at the property. We couldn't open any windows to get air into the property at night because of the insects - the house really needs fly screens. The DVD player wouldn't work and a number of the doors and windows were tricky to operate. There was no mention of if the tank water was safe to drink - we assumed as it was from the roof, it wasn't; so ended up buying water for the stay. The house needs a bit of TLC and an accurate description online.
