From Kaitaia, the drive to Cape Reinga takes about 1.5 hours each way, where the Tasman Sea meets the mighty Pacific Ocean. Inside, the open-plan living area is warm and welcoming, flowing seamlessly out to a large covered deck with a six-seat outdoor dining setting — perfect for shared meals, morning coffees, or watching the sun dip over the ocean. Tides and Time comfortably sleeps up to eight guests across two spacious bedrooms, plus a cosy separate sleepout with a bunk bed, accessed externally — ideal for kids. About the location
Known for its rugged coastlines, long white sandy stretches such as 90 Mile Beach, the lofty Te Paki sand dunes perfect for some wild boogie board surfing, as well as the picture perfect Bay of Islands.
