With a heat pump and fire place, this Paihia holiday home has been thoughtfully prepared to ensure an enjoyable stay all year round. Swallows Nest is ideally set up to cater for your group. You can spread out across three large bedrooms upstairs, and a self contained dwelling with king size bed on the first floor. Follow the sun and enjoy the various outdoor entertaining areas or snuggle up next to the fire. Wander into town and take your pick of excellent restaurants along the waterfront. A 10-minute walk or a minute drive will land you in the heart of Paihia. Here you can wander into the info centre to book a day of adventure on the water, enjoy the range of fantastic cafes and restaurants, and swim in the sparkling sea. Another five minutes of driving will take you to the unmissable Waitangi Treaty Grounds and a world-class golf course. When you’re ready, you can amble back to Swallows Nest to pour a wine and marvel at the sunset over the bay. Enjoy the perfect balance of tranquillity and adventure here at Swallows Nest in Paihia!

    It is pitched as an elegant upmarket home of high quality along accompanying pricing, however it fails to get anywhere close to the expected standard. A significant factor is deciding on this property was the pool. It has nor been in use for a very long time. full of green growth and unusable despite the photos and web site stating otherwise. This is false advertising of the property. Multiple light fittings through out the property not working. Lift not working therefore unable to use main ...

    It is pitched as an elegant upmarket home of high quality along accompanying pricing, however it fails to get anywhere close to the expected standard. A significant factor is deciding on this property was the pool. It has nor been in use for a very long time. full of green growth and unusable despite the photos and web site stating otherwise. This is false advertising of the property. Multiple light fittings through out the property not working. Lift not working therefore unable to use main entrance, leaving the only access via the rear of the property pushing through the overgrown gardens and up the stairs. Not enjoyable when the foliage is wet. Access to ground floor bedroom required going down the outside stairs as lift unavailable. Ground floor level was musty and smelt. Needs regular ventilation. Electrical fittings taped up in bathroom - this is a safety issue. No BBQ. A property of this calibre should have this as standard. Cutlery setting were mismatched, only 5 of some settings eg 5 plates. 5 wine glasses, not acceptable for 6 person. We had to purchase toilet paper, as only a small section was left on the rolls. shower soap in one bathroom was empty - managed to get by by sharing from the other bathrooms. Gardens need at lot of work. Curtains hanging off hooks in most rooms. This is a very tired property requiring much needed maintenance and definitely not up to the standard as portrayed in the listing photos and accompany wording.
