It was great our dogs could come too.Unfortunately for us the weather was terrible for our stay but luckily the house was big enough for our group to entertain ourselves inside. Good location with a cafe and the beach in walking distance.

Great pad for a group or couple of families. Just magic looking out on the rural and trees especially from seating / bed in the garage / apartment. Cute main house, everything we were looking for and walkable to beach and eateries. BTW great fridge with ice maker.

Graham “I have already emailed you with the following ; Merry Christmas BachCare team We have had a number of issues with our rental of this property Issue #1; we had reason to call your help team around 5pm on Friday 23.”
Dec when we discovered that there was no linen on beds or towels laid out - a phonecall was made, and attempt to access these items / solve this problem was fruitless. Whoever manages this property - Nanny herself, a hired cleaner, or whoever - gets a zero for customer service !! The screenshot (attached) of the email message (from BachCare, 18.10.22) confirming booking clearly states "hires bed linen and towels" - so the problem does not lie with our booking - it lies with lack of attention to detail of BachCare and/or "Nanny"/or her nominated house manager. Issue #2; we subsequently discovered overnight Friday that hot/warm water was in scarce supply. Given we had not found any useful back up or support the evening before (and being useful, inventive kiwis) we took the door to HWC off its hinges and found the hotwater cylinder turned OFF. We put the cupboard door back on and have enjoyed hotwater since. Issue #3; Nanny's Beach House is - by our average kiwi standards - not well cleaned. It is dusty, and all the windows which we have had opened - it is summer weather - are full of cobwebs. There are cochroaches in the main house, the garage sleepout up top is full of moths so night time reading is impossible. The vinyl chairs outside the garage sleepout are covered in sparrow droppings. Overall the level of cleaning is substandard. Issue #4; the WiFi is based in the garage sleepout, and the signal barely reaches, and is essentially useless, in the main house. So, we are not interested in who is responsible for these things - BachCare & Nanny can sort it out - but we will not be leaving a positive review on any platforms that Nanny's is advertised for rent. Best advertising = word of mouth. We would suggest less naff decorations and meaningless lifestyle advice memes and more attention to the details of what makes a place comfortable to be in when renting for holidays - reliable service, willingness to fix problems, clean and uncluttered rooms. We did actually enjoy some aspects of our stay (quiet, rural outlook), but really no thanks to the "service" provided by BachCare and/or Nanny. sincerely Graham Allan 0273106923
