The modern and stylish interior is drenched in sunlight thanks to large picture windows, offering the perfect atmosphere for your beach getaway. Make yourself comfortable with a book on the large corner couch, or use the complimentary WIFI to log in to your favourite viewing app on the Smart TV and catch up on that show everyone’s been talking about. Open up the side door and create that all important indoor-outdoor flow out onto the patio. Enjoy a cuppa at the coffee table, take a nap on the shaded daybed, or fire up the BBQ and get grilling for an alfresco feast at the outdoor dining table, complete with a sun umbrella. Whip up a few sides to go with your BBQ dinner in the fully equipped, modern kitchen, then at the end of the meal, pop the dishes in the dishwasher and get back to enjoying casual conversation with your friends long into the warm summer evening. When it’s time to recharge the batteries for another day of beach living, retreat to the two bedrooms for a restful night’s sleep. The master features a luxurious super king size bed, while the other is fitted with a queen. Here at Magic at The Mount you’re just a three-minute walk from the beach. About the location

Glorious, long white sandy beaches will greet you at our stunning collection of Mount Maunganui accommodation. Taking a stroll up Mauao, reaching 230 metres at the summit, gives you stunning 360 degree views of the beach, harbour and ocean. 'The Mount' is located at the end of Tauranga Harbour and the surf beach is one of the finest. A superb spot to relax and re-energize, that's just a 15 minute drive from Tauranga or 3 hour drive from Auckland. All of our Mount Maunganui holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.

    “Unfortunately on opening the door we were hit with a very unpleasant smell, we immediately phoned Bachcare and were told it was an older house smell.”

    We were a group of 4 adults and all found it offensive, it smelt like fish/something rotten. After 2 nights our clothes were left smelling like the offensive smell. The kitchen tap was ridiculously slow and had been mentioned in quite a few feedback so should just be fixed/replaced. Also there was no fan in the bathroom and immediately that quickly gets very wet. Otherwise the location and house was nice, it was clean and tidy just very smelly!

    Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the odour you experienced. Unfortunately, this was due to previous guests not following house rules, which was beyond our control. Please be assured that the property has since undergone a full deep clean, and the fish smell has been successfully resolved. As the home is 60 years old, a slight musty scent may be present when it's been closed up, but air fresheners and scented candles are provided to help with this.
