Linen
Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Spend your days relaxing at the seaside, sunbathing, swimming, catching waves, before returning to enjoy this stunning apartment. Inside you’ll find a large open living area, combined with a kitchen and dining area that flows out onto the balcony area through sliding doors. This modern apartment has all the amenities you would need including WiFi, a smart TV and a heat pump to keep yourself warm during the winter months. Being on the central Maunganui Road, the apartment is close by to cafe, shops and restaurants and is only a short 10-minute stroll away from the beach. Head up to the top of Mount Maunganui for some beautiful natural views. Enjoy a memorable holiday at the Mount right from Rooftop Retreat.

About the location
Glorious, long white sandy beaches will greet you at our stunning collection of Mount Maunganui accommodation. Taking a stroll up Mauao, reaching 230 metres at the summit, gives you stunning 360 degree views of the beach, harbour and ocean. 'The Mount' is located at the end of Tauranga Harbour and the surf beach is one of the finest. A superb spot to relax and re-energize, that's just a 15 minute drive from Tauranga or 3 hour drive from Auckland. All of our Mount Maunganui holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.

“The property itself was OK.”
Nothing spectacular, certainly not for the price point. Location is good to attend events at Bay Oval. Bedroom has no opening windows and is very hot and stuffy. There is a fan (held together with masking tape), but it was still very warm. Bed was very firm, too firm for me. The person that slept on the sofa bed also said it was very uncomfortable. We were charged $100 for linen, and the duvet provided for the sofa bed had no cover and was stained. There was a $120 cleaning fee, and yet I ...

There was a $120 cleaning fee, and yet I still had to clear the dryer of lint as the lint filter was chocka, a fire hazard. I also had to empty the water reservoir as that was full too. The place is seriously under equipped for the price point too - no dish cloth - no milk - no paper towels - no body wash, shampoo or conditioner - no tissues - no face cloths - the smart TV is very outdated - no house manual The view from the deck gives you a peek of the mount, but mostly it's just looking into neighbours backyards and rooftops. I wouldn't stay here again at the current price, and given the lack of amenities provided will be avoiding all Bachcare properties in the future.

Face cloths, dishcloths, and paper towels are not included, and body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are not provided for hygiene reasons and personal preference. The compendium is currently being updated and will be replaced shortly. The dryer was clean, but we apologise if any lint was missed. The duvet for the sofa bed was clean and located in the linen closet, and the one used had been set aside for cleaning after the previous booking.
