The property

Tucked away on the tranquil edge of Lake Rotoiti, Okere Retreat offers the ultimate lakeside escape in the heart of Okere Falls. Surrounded by native bush and birdsong, this peaceful three-bedroom, two-bathroom hideaway is perfect for families or small groups seeking rustic comfort – privacy – and unbeatable lake access. Your own private jetty and sheltered boat bay await just a short stroll down a bush-lined track from the house. Guests can swim, launch the kayaks kept in the boatshed, or moor up to two boats right at the lake’s edge. The jetty offers a safe and quiet spot to tie up overnight – sheltered from the main lake – a standout feature for boating and fishing enthusiasts. The property is also just a short drive from the public boat slip in Okere Falls. Inside, enjoy a warm and inviting open-plan living and dining area that flows onto a large sun-drenched garden deck – ideal for alfresco dining or unwinding with a good book. The fully equipped kitchen makes holiday cooking a breeze, while broadband, WiFi, and Sky TV ensure all the comforts of home. The home comfortably sleeps up to seven guests. One bedroom features a queen bed, another has a double bed, and the third includes one single bed with an adjoining room housing two additional singles – a fantastic setup for kids or friends. With two bathrooms, including an ensuite, everyone enjoys added comfort and convenience. Adventure is at your doorstep as well. The famous Okere Falls walking track and Kaituna River – popular for white-water rafting, ziplining, and trout fishing – are just minutes away. Also on the lake – and only accessible by boat – your own or one of several offering tourist cruises – are the popular Manupirua Springs hot pools. A short drive takes you to Rotorua’s geothermal attractions, the Redwood Forest biking trails and canopy walks, the Polynesian Spa, and more. Whether you’re boating, fishing, exploring, or simply relaxing lakeside, Okere Retreat is your perfect Lake Rotoiti getaway.
