The property
Welcome to your Reefton retreat — Haere Mai! This spacious, sun-soaked heritage villa blends timeless charm with all the comforts of home. Dating back to 1900, this lovingly maintained family home sits proudly on a corner section just two minutes from Reefton’s main street, close to cafes, pubs, shops, and the visitor centre. Step through the French doors and onto the wraparound verandah, where outdoor furniture invites you to sit back with a glass of wine and soak in the open views. The home is surrounded by garden seating, sunny spots, and shaded areas under sails, making it a perfect place to unwind at any time of day. A conservatory with table and chairs offers a bright and cozy nook, especially welcome on cooler days. The large lounge, positioned at the heart of the home, features a new woodburner and ceiling fan to distribute warmth throughout the house. A heat pump in the dining room offers additional comfort, and all beds are fitted with electric blankets for those crisp West Coast nights. Three generously sized bedrooms and a bright, functional kitchen make this villa ideal for families or groups. A huge bookcase stocked with books, games, jigsaws and magazines promises entertainment for all ages, while a Smart TV and WiFi keep you connected. The fully fenced section with secure gates provides peace of mind, especially for families with little ones. Whether you're out exploring Reefton’s rivers, walking trails and history, or simply relaxing with a cuppa on the verandah, this sunny villa is the place to be.
Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.
About the location
Reefton is located in the Victoria Conservation Park, and like many other towns on the West Coast, sprung from the gold rush of the late 1800s. There are still a number of historic buildings in Reefton and the surrounding area. There is a working winding engine, Quartzpolis mine and interactive displays about the Victoria Conservation Park at the Reefton Visitor Centre. Visitors to Reefton and the Victoria Conservation Park can enjoy exploring the area, or try gold panning, mountain biking, hunting, canoeing and fishing.
