we could see a gas fire in the photos online so specifically chose this property. On arrival we read in the information that the gas fire did not work but there were two oil heaters available. We had to change over the gas as the showers ran cold on the third morning. I don't have a lot of experience with book a bach but I had thought that the house would have had maybe oil, pepper, coffee some basics to get you started. An ok experience.

Plenty of space and the layout, with the three indoor showers and one bath, made life so much easier. The children (and adults) loved the outdoor hot shower which made it so easy to get rid of the sand brought back from the beach, which was only a few minutes walk, in fact the location was ideal and very quiet. .There was so much outside space for the children to play safely, especially when the sliding gate was closed. We all had a very enjoyable week and would look to book this Bach again in the future, if it was still available - Thank you.

A range of indoor and outdoor spaces to move around and close to the beach and cafes/takeaways. Great facilities and cosy warm house. Recommend.

The section is a great size and fully fenced, was safe for our children to play in. It had plenty of bathrooms, lots of space, a well stocked kitchen. A short walk to the beach, would love to return next year

Nice size garden for the kids to play. Comfortably accommodates a large group with enough bathrooms. Would recommend staying there.

The home is fully equipped with the beach 3 or 4 minutes walk away and Whakatane town 10 minutes drive away as well .We all enjoyed our stay immensely

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Casual and comfortable, this open-plan home comes with a sun-drenched balcony, BBQ and outdoor dining area. The easy-going indoor/outdoor flow ensures a chill spot to sit down and relax, with some music playing and spending some time with family or friends. If you're keen to venture out and explore the local area, Ohope International Links Golf Course, Ohope Scenic Reserve and the Wairere Falls are all just a short drive away. And of course, you're just minutes from Ohope beach (Voted NZ's most loved beach) you can take the boogie boards out at any time and enjoy the sunshine by the water. So if you're looking for your next summertime adventure, set up base at the Ohope Sunshine Escape!
Please note due to the narrow driveway and potentially blocking the neighbours in at Ohope Sunshine Escape, boats are not permitted to be brought onto the property.
Please note there is construction work being carried out from June to September 2021 on the neighbouring property from Ohope Sunshine Escape. This could mean some construction noise during working hours. Please be advised this is a working site and guests should not enter the neighbouring property during their stay.
