    “We loved this bach.”

    Spacious, clean and tidy, with wonderful decks and living areas to spread out and enjoy when we were not out enjoying the beach. Only a short easy walk to the beach and very close to the Hahei shops. Fantastic in all these ways! My favorite thing was the outdoor shower. Simply awesome! However, we did have some hiccups.     Spacious, clean and tidy, with wonderful decks and living areas to spread out and enjoy when we were not out enjoying the beach. Only a short easy walk to the beach and very close to the Hahei shops. Fantastic in all these ways! My favorite thing was the outdoor shower. Simply awesome! However, we did have some hiccups. First, the listing says there are 4 bedrooms. This is incorrect. There is an upstairs mezzanine (open) that has a sofa which makes out into a bed, but it is not a bedroom. That bed was not made up when we arrived, and we had to figure all of that out, then move one of the mattresses from the kids bunk up to the mezzanine in order for our 20 yr-old daughter to have someplace to sleep. I guess they assumed we had adults that all could sleep together. Even if that had been the case, we still would have been one bed short without relying on that mezzanine sofa-bed thing (because my mother did not travel with us, so we were actually just 5 adults + 1 child). So, they didn't seem interested in accommodating our family the way we described ourselves and what we would need. Second, we had booked for 6 adults and 1 child, but were only left enough towels for 5 people, even though we paid for all linens (which should have been enough for 7 people as booked and paid for). Third, the power went out for half the house, so we spent one evening + overnight in the dark. The electrician who came the next day to fix it said the same thing (power outage) had happened the previous week, so this was not a one-off occurrence. Overall it was a great holiday for us, because the beach and house are awesome, but we can't give it 10 out of 10 due to these issues we had.

We apologise for the listing error, the mezzanine floor had pulled through as a 4th bedroom accidentally, this has now been fixed. With regards to beds, our local services team would have made up the beds as per the listing (2x queen, single bed and bunk beds) and would not have set up sofa beds unless requested. We have spoken with our local services to ensure the correct number of linen sets are provided for future guests. Bachcare

The property

The Bach Retreat is a Hahei holiday house with Chromecast and WIFI, featuring 3 bedrooms and fantastically situated just 2 minutes walk to the beach or a 1 minute walk to the dairy and shops in Hahei town. When location matters, choose this Hahei holiday house! This is a great place for relaxation and fun times in the sun, and there is plenty to do - especially being so close to Cathedral Cove! Entering through the ranch slider you step into the lounge that is comfortably set up with a potbellied fireplace for the winter months, and all the essentials including stereo, DVD player, and a 46" flatscreen TV with Freeview that can take your Sky card (MySky or blue Sky card only). A larger sliding door leads out on to the rear deck, with large table and sun umbrella and a second large table with bench seats, that has great native bush views. The accommodation features three bedrooms, with two of the bedrooms featuring Queen beds (one is located upstairs and the other is downstairs). The third bedroom, off the lounge and with ranch slider leading to the large deck and back yard, has bunks and a king single bed with a trundler bed underneath. The open plan dining area located next to the kitchen is also linked to the deck by bifold doors. The brand new kitchen has modern whiteware and appliances including oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and new microwave. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine, if you want your espressos in the morning please bring your own capsules. Off this central area there is a separate toilet and brand new bathroom with double vanity and large shower, and the laundry which again has a new washing machine and dryer. Upstairs there is a sunny mezzanine floor where the kids can play or watch TV. The upstairs TV also has Freeview and the ability to load your own sky card (My Sky or blue Sky card only). This area has a comfortable sofa bed that sleeps another two. Situated on a large flat section that looks over native bush the large wrap around deck (part covered) is ideal for relaxing with heaps of room to sit back and relax while having a BBQ and letting the kids kick the ball or shoot hoops! Enjoy the proximity to the beach and tennis courts. After the short walk from the beach there is a modern outdoor shower to wash the sand off. Come and enjoy a great place to relax and discover beautiful Hahei Beach in this well located Hahei holiday home, so close to the beach...!
