Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Golfers and Beach Lovers Dream is a bright and roomy 3 bedroom Matarangi holiday house featuring a spacious open plan design, two bathrooms and a fantastic outdoor entertaining area. A perfect holiday location for a group of couples or a family! This stylish, modern Matarangi accommodation is built for the sun with two sets of large bi-folding doors opening out onto a deck area, which overlooks the golf course. The deck leads around to a fabulous BBQ area with an outdoor fireplace which is lovely to sit around and relax with family or friends, regardless of what the season is. This perfect entertaining area soaks up the afternoon and evening sun. The kitchen contains all new modern appliances and all of the essentials of a well appointed user friendly kitchen. There is a large wooden dining table with seating for six that looks out over the decking area. The lounge has comfortable seating including a fold-out settee, as well as a coffee table, television, mini stereo and a fireplace to warm up any chilly nights! There are shade blinds over the bi-fold doors allowing you to see the view whilst maintaining your privacy. Able to sleep 7 guests comfortably, this home is an ideal getaway location for a group of couples or a family. The large master bedroom has a tidy, fresh ensuite and the room is furnished with a queen size bed, mirror and walk in wardrobe. The front of the master bedroom is entirely glass with ranchsliders opening onto the deck allowing beautiful views overlooking the golf course. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed, mirror and built in wardrobe, and the third has a duo bunk (double on the bottom, single on the top). The entire house is carpeted throughout with tiles in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry. The main bathroom has a bath, glass walled shower, vanity, heated lights and towel rail with a separate toilet. The laundry has a new automatic washing machine. This location is perfect for a totally relaxing holiday whether it be summer or winter. Across the fairway there is direct access to the beach, while the golf club-rooms, bar and restaurant are a 2 minute walk from the house. Tennis courts and the local store are also within walking distance. A perfect spot to get away to any time of the year, Golfers & Beach Lovers Dream is a fantastic option for your Matarangi holiday!

Just a 2.5 hour drive from Auckland, Matarangi is a picturesque seaside township located between Whitianga and the Coromandel. The area enjoys a world-class golf course and numerous scenic walkways. Just north of Matarangi lays New Chums Beach, only accessible via a 40-minute bush walk or by boat. “Beautifully designed and appointed home in Matarangi.”
Clean and with all the conveniences, including a truly luxurious bathtub, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. The house is well laid out, with the master (with ensuite) at one end, the two other bedrooms at the other, and the second bath, WC, and laundry in between them and the large kitchen/dining/lounge. Outdoors, there is a large deck, with quite a private little courtyard with umbrella table, as well as another area around an outdoor fireplace. It was very comfortable for our family and extremely spacious. Parking is easy and convenient adjacent to the house, up the shared drive. You have a nice view over the golf course, and everything in Matarangi is of course reasonably close and accessible. The cafe at The Dunes is easy walking distance. Our family was very comfortable here and would be very happy to return. A few minor frustrations: the house is not well signposted from the street. We figured it out from the adjacent numbers and walked up the shared drive until we saw the "Bachcare" sign and (finally) the house number. The driveway joins the street with a dip that can be detrimental to cars with low fronts, and plantings on either side make it hard to enter or exit the drive at a 45 degree angle to mitigate this. These are very minor complaints, however. A note in the kitchen did warn about the risk of ants on the countertop, and we definitely found this to be true, but the house was very clean, and from our previous visits to Matarangi, we know ants are a chronic issue in the area, not something specific to this one home. As noted in the home's description, there is no Wifi, but there is free to air TV. We did wish that we could have arranged to check in earlier than 3pm, and offered to pay an extra fee, but this was firmly squashed by Bachcare. In summary, we really enjoyed our stay at this property and would be keen to return on our next visit to Matarangi.
