The property didn't go without its hick-ups even though the earlier reviews were quite positive. We couldn't have stayed at a worse time during the rain and wind season, which meant we were confined to the property the whole time. Andy thank you for taking the time out to come and help remedy the power situation it seems to me this is not an isolated problem so perhaps the owner could get this sorted before people get electrocuted. Hopefully my next visit the Billy Point Wharf will be fixed.

Hayden “Enjoyed our stay, while quite small and nothing flash, the place is very well set up and in an excellent location close to beach and amenities.”
The only issue we had was the fridge was more a freezer so hopefully that has been addressed. Proximity to the airfield adds interest to seeing the range of aircraft come & go - and wasn't too noisy at the time we were there (I suspect the week over New Years it could get a little tedious for the non-aeronautical).

Lynette “The location of this holiday home is superb.”
Close to the shops and a lovely outlook. It was easy to be there. We thought the 3rd bedroom with its external entry was going to be a drawback but in the end it worked out wonderfully well. It meant the 1 year old could have daytime naps away from the rest of us. Plenty of parking , great clothes line and we loved the dining room table. A comfortable holiday home that I would happily stay in again . Thanks for giving us the opportunity to use your home.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Pilots Rest is a 3 bedroom Pauanui holiday home. Situated on the airfield, this laid back and sunny holiday base enjoys easy outdoor living with views to the golf course and the ocean! This Pauanui holiday home includes open plan living that flows onto the deck... fire up the BBQ and take in the scenery! This is a great wee summer set up just a 6 minute walk to the ocean beach and 3 minutes to the Pines golf course. There are 3 bedrooms at this Pauanui holiday home. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a queen bed, bedroom 2 has a super king bed that may be split into 2 single beds. Bedroom 3 which is accessed externally from the deck includes 3 single beds. This is an ideal set up for a family or couples to get away to the beach and enjoy Pauanui! Kick back and relax on the deck with views of the airstrip, or hit the beach for days in the sand and surf... Pilots Rest awaits for your next Coromandel getaway!
Please note bedroom 3 has no internal access. This bedroom has external access off the deck.
