    “Bachcare was great with correspondence and ensuring our stay here at the property was good.”

    The property didn't go without its hick-ups even though the earlier reviews were quite positive. We couldn't have stayed at a worse time during the rain and wind season, which meant we were confined to the property the whole time. Andy thank you for taking the time out to come and help remedy the power situation it seems to me this is not an isolated problem so perhaps the owner could get this sorted before people get electrocuted. Hopefully my next visit the Billy Point Wharf will be fixed.

Unfortunately, as it was a public holiday it was not possible to get an electrician there immediately. Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

Pilots Rest is a 3 bedroom Pauanui holiday home. Situated on the airfield, this laid back and sunny holiday base enjoys easy outdoor living with views to the golf course and the ocean! This Pauanui holiday home includes open plan living that flows onto the deck... fire up the BBQ and take in the scenery! This is a great wee summer set up just a 6 minute walk to the ocean beach and 3 minutes to the Pines golf course. There are 3 bedrooms at this Pauanui holiday home. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a queen bed, bedroom 2 has a super king bed that may be split into 2 single beds. Bedroom 3 which is accessed externally from the deck includes 3 single beds. This is an ideal set up for a family or couples to get away to the beach and enjoy Pauanui! Kick back and relax on the deck with views of the airstrip, or hit the beach for days in the sand and surf... Pilots Rest awaits for your next Coromandel getaway!

Please note bedroom 3 has no internal access. This bedroom has external access off the deck.

Sky TV is available if you bring your own Sky card. Soda stream available.

As the property as unfenced access to the airstrip, adults should closely supervise young children while outside.

As there are fixed bench seats on the deck, adults should closely supervise young children in this area to ensure they do not climb the fixed bench seats due to the risk of falls.

About the location

Just over 2 hours from Auckland, Pauanui is one of the most popular holiday towns in the Coromandel. Pauanui enjoys white sand beaches with a surf life saving club and a number of walking tracks including the Mount Pauanui summit track, which will give you stunning views of the coastline and out to the Mercury Islands. The town itself has many great cafes and shops, as well as a golf course. All of our Pauanui holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
