Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The interiors, seamlessly connecting to the garden and decking and fitted with everything you might need on your Lake Taupo escape, including kayaks! With more than enough space for the whole family or group to spread out, Mahuta Maison has three bedrooms, a spacious open-plan living, kitchen, dining, garage with a pool table and a sundeck with BBQ. If the weather has trapped indoors, enjoy the WiFi, Netflix, Smart TV. Close to Taupo Central, just a 12-minute drive away, Mahuta Maison is on the Eastern shores of Lake Taupo. Spend the day out on the lake, visiting the nearby points of interest around Taupo such as Huka Falls, or fishing in the Waitahanui River. A favourite way to end a relaxing or action-packed day is to head down to the beach and watch the sunset over Mt. Ruapehu. Mahuta Maison is waiting to host your Lake Taupo getaway!

About the location
Just an 8 minute drive around the lake from Taupo Central, Wharewaka is a great base for a relaxing or adventure-packed holiday. It's out of the hustle and bustle of the centre, but still close to many of the bucket-list activities Taupo has to offer such as going out on the lake, visiting Huka Falls or even making the trek along the Tongariro Crossing. “We enjoyed our weekend stay at Mahuta Maison.”
It was very warm and cosy and the big king beds were very comfortable! There was plenty of room for two families. Just the lightbulbs in the kitchen need some attention as it was very dark and it was a shame there was a power outage which took time to remedy and wait for contractors to come out and fix. Possibly needs to be investigated to avoid happening again as weren't running that many appliances. All in all though would definately recommend as a nice location just out of the hub bub of ...
