Air con works well. Close to town, can walk there in 10 minutes. Shower great. Just a couple of things I would point out --It was a 10 day stay early January that cost $3,300 it would have been nice if the lawns had been mowed as they were long when we arrived. --There was no umbrella outside on the deck table although there is one on the photo when booked the property. Was very hot and would have been great to have an umbrella over the table. --The property is advertised as 2 and a half rooms. This is confusing. Would be good to be more clear in your description. i.e. One of the double rooms has a single bed within the area to the double room. i.e. there is no door between the double room and the single bed meaning no privacy. Be handy to have a sliding door between the double room and the single room. --The section is overgrown , lawns not mown and weeds everywhere. The place would look nicer if given some time to clean it up. --The gate is very difficult to close from the outside. i.e. when leaving the property it is very difficult to shut the gate from the street. The position of the hook on the gate needs to be changed so ones hand can reach and lock the gate. --The property supplies one fan that is on a timer. i.e. the fan stops in the middle of the night so not very practical in the heat. I would suggest a fan for each room as it gets very hot in the summer.

Cynthia “The house was very clean and the linen was crisp, fresh and clean.”
The beds were very comfortable. The pillows were all high and firm, which was not to our liking, but the bed was nice. The view from the kitchen was beautiful, especially at night and it was lovely to sit outside on the balcony to eat. The section was fully fenced and secure for our wee dog. The fences were all very high, so would be good for large breeds too. A lovely stay. Thank you

Our only disappointment is having to pay such a huge cleaning fee ($150) and then still having to clean as per below when we leave ? What is the fee for ? Conditions were ... Departure from the property On your day of departure, please ensure that you leave the property as you found it, in a clean and tidy condition with all dishes washed and put away.

The property was clean and loved the view & the proximity to town. Only issue was closing the gate. We ended up buying a bungy cord which worked well and left it for others to use.

Great view while making dinner, and very warm with the heat pump and heaters. The gate was a bit hard to close and we found it popped open a few times. Would happily stay here again.

Great view over Lake Taupo. We experienced some maintenance and cleaning issues which we’ve raised with Bachcare and owner…however this did not stop us enjoying our holiday away.

Great situation, beautiful views overlooking Taupo and the lake and ideal for a quick trip into town but yet far enough away from the madding crowd! Very well equipped with everything you could need, bright and airy. If you are wanting to take a more mature dog just be aware that the lawned area for toileting is down some steps which may pose a problem possibly. All in all, thoroughly enjoyed my stay, one of the best baches I have been to. Thank you very much and what a bonus being able to enjoy the wonderful walks in Taupo with my four legged friends. Highly recommended.
