Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Choice Wharewaka is a 5 bedroom 3 bathroom Wharewaka holiday home at Lake Taupo. Including unlimited Fibre Wi-Fi and sunny living, this well positioned house is an ideal lake base located just a few minutes walk from the waters edge! This 3 storey Wharewaka holiday home has 2 units each with separate entrances, Newly renovated kitchen, and bathrooms, making this an ideal option for a wide selection of groups - enjoy the spacious living areas while maintaining peace and privacy! Levels 2 and 3 open onto a fully renovated deck where you can fire up the BBQ and look out to the lake, while level 1 flows out to fully fenced section for family games in the garden. Due to multiple levels young children should be supervised, see special conditions below. Located on the second level, ensuite bedroom 1 is fitted with a super king bed and a baby cot, while bedroom 2 has a queen bed. On level 3, bedrooms 3 and 4 each have a king single bed. Enjoying a separate entrance on level 1, bedroom 4 has a queen bed and the level 1 lounge has two sets of king single bunk beds sleeping an extra 4 guests. With a recently installed heat pump on level 1 your group will be nice and cosy in winter. A table tennis table has also been added to the garage for the whole family to be entertained with family table tennis tournaments! To complete your family holiday set up, there is a bathroom on level 1 and level 2. This well presented, comfortable house has everything you require for a home away from at the lake. There is ample room to relax, a fully fenced backyard, set out on adventure with the lake edge just a 3-5 minute walk from your door and Taupo only a 7 minute drive away. A baby's cot is also available for use in bedroom 1.
This property has plenty of boat parking space, as well as a secured garage for bike storage.
Please note the house is spread over three levels with multiple stairs and we recommend supervision of young children in these areas. For extra safety, child safety gates are available at the property.
Please note there are security cameras at this property, placed in the outdoor areas (front gate and back entrance). Rest assured that our guests privacy is of paramount importance and these will only be operating for added security during and between stays.
Please note that there's a maximum of 10 adults allowed at this property at all times. The remaining two guests must be children.
Guests are to provide their own coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine available.

About the location
Just an 8 minute drive around the lake from Taupo Central, Wharewaka is a great base for a relaxing or adventure-packed holiday. It's out of the hustle and bustle of the centre, but still close to many of the bucket-list activities Taupo has to offer such as going out on the lake, visiting Huka Falls or even making the trek along the Tongariro Crossing. “Mixed experience - some improvements needed We stayed at Choice Wharewaka as a replacement booking after our original Bachcare property was cancelled, and while we appreciated having somewhere to stay, the home didn’t quite meet expectations.”
The location is good and the house has potential, but there were several issues during our stay: Cleanliness could have been better Not enough glassware for number of guests Both the fridges froze food (including fruit & vegetables), meaning we had to replace groceries Only one rubbish bag provided and no wheelie bin TV remote didn’t work Safety concerns including slippery decking when wet and protruding nails, as well as very low ceiling in top staircase, both resulting in minor ...

With some attention to detail, this could be a much better stay.
