    “This is the best bach we’ve stayed at - tastefully executed, extremely well equipped and in an outstanding natural setting.”

    Everything was clean, tidy and well presented. It’s had a major renovation recently and the owners have done an incredible job of a modern refresh whilst still maintaining the charm of the place and sensitivity to the surrounds. We absolutely loved our stay here. We had two young babies and a 5 year old but the house worked well for us.     Everything was clean, tidy and well presented. We absolutely loved our stay here. We had two young babies and a 5 year old but the house worked well for us. It’s not obvious immediately from the photos but there are two master bedrooms with a shared ensuite in a seperate wing at the back of the house, which was perfect for us with babies so the rest of the family could stay in the main house. The fireplace was excellent with good quality and well stocked firewood in close proximity. The additional wall heaters, underfloor heating and large outdoor fire really complete the picture for a cosy winter stay here. The kitchen was well stocked with oils, spices and condiments. The kitchen equipment was all high quality and the coffee machine worked a charm. New modern appliances made food prep an absolute breeze. It’s a very short half hour drive from Havelock with a well stocked Four Square, cafes, bakery and a pub. The road was surprisingly quite good and the place is very easy to find. Only an hour and a half from Nelson. Would highly recommend a stay here. We truly loved it and created some wonderful memories. We will be back!

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

There are assorted sizes of life jackets which you are welcome to use at your own risk if you are kayaking.
