Paula “We loved our stay, however the vacuum cleaner has a very nasty smell, maybe the filters need cleaning.”
Also when we turned the light on above the sink the bulb blew. You may also want to check out the shower there could be a leak under it. We very much love the location and will book another weekend. Many thanks

Malicia “We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay here.”
We celebrated our sons birthdays here, I chose this spot because I actually lived here as a child so thankfully it had availability to be booked! It’s mostly the same as it was when we lived there, right to the caravan at the back! It was blissful to share some of my childhood with my own children and my husband. I also appreciated the nostalgic rustic feel to the home and the fact that it had no wifi or big tv because we live in Auckland so my children are accustomed to the technology lifestyle. While we were there no one really touched their devices except to video the view and Memories, or watched tv because the water just consumed everyone’s time! It was a blessing to be able to be there and I can’t wait to book it again if possible! I can’t fault the place because it had everything we needed for cooking and sleeping and bathing! I’m use to that kind of lifestyle too! Thank you very much for hosting us!

Jack “Amazing proper Kiwi Bach!”
This place has everything you need and is a simply amazing location, we'll be back!
- Jack, November 2019Trish “Have just had another 3 nights in this little beauty - dont want to rave too much so others don't fully book it out!”
Stunning, humble and comfortable. Thank you - the kids are asking me to book for next year!
- Trish, October 2019Sarah “The bach is an old school kiwi classic - comfy with everything you need!”
Jeanie and Jesse were really helpful and accommodating. The view from the bach is absolutely lovely, and it's amazing watching the tides and the light. We were up at dawn a couple of days so got some lovely sunrises! Ruakaka is peaceful and quiet, close to Whangarei. If you're looking for a classic bach with amazing views, and somewhere to chill out and get away from it all, then this is the place for you!
- Sarah, May 2019Earlene “Love this true kiwi Bach, great location and our family have created some very special memories here!”
We will definitely be back :))
- Earlene, January 2019Trish “This Bach was the perfect fit for my family and I - Mum, Dad and 4 teenage sons.”
It was exactly as advertised, and we weren't disappointed! What a gem of a place! We were made to feel so welcome, and the Owners shared everything we needed to make this a fun, relaxing and welcome break away. The location is something else - I don't really want to comment, incase it becomes so popular that we won't be able to book it again! It is an older place, and it has its share of battle scars from being so loved and used over the years - if your looking for 'fancy' this is probably not the place for you. It was clean, inviting, well equipped and lent itself well to our busy family. Thank you.
