    “Lovely home with a great view and access to the beach.”

    We did have a couple of minor issues, but Batchcare we're as proactive as they could be considering our arrival was a public holiday. Other than the Dishwasher having a problem, nothing else really affected our stay. A good time had by all.

Linen

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

This beach bach has been architecturally designed to make the most of its stunning location - overlooking Whangaumu Bay, with direct access to the beach from the lawn. With two decks available, front or back, Shoreside captures all day sun, so you can relax with a glass or two of local wine, watch the beachgoers and boats go by and marvel at the breathtaking sunsets to the West. With floor to ceiling windows and doors that open out to the decking, Shoreside seamlessly connects the open plan living area to the beach outside! A bach for the whole family, sleeping up to 10 guests in 5 bedrooms will ensure there is plenty of room for everyone to unwind and enjoy their holiday. Shoreside comes equipped with those must-haves for a relaxing coastal holiday including a herb garden to freshen up those delicious holiday meals, fish-filleting bench, BBQ, Nespresso machine, fireplace to keep you toasty warm in winter and WiFi to keep you connected. In summer the kids can spend the day on this safe swimming beach, perfect for taking a dip or a round of cricket, right close to home so mum and dad can keep a close eye on things. Then head back up to the house to wash off under the outdoor shower, it's just that easy! The opportunities to get out into the great outdoors in your backyard are numerous, whether it's snorkelling, kayaking (use the kayak available onsite) or fishing Shoreside has you covered. For a day trip, check out the Poor Knights Marine Reserve or head to the Bay of Islands, just an hours drive for more of stunning Northland! Tutukaka Coast is a must see, and this is the ideal spot designed to make the most of it - Shoreside awaits!


The TV cannot get tv reception. There is SKY TV available for guests if they wish to bring their own card/decoder.

Please bring your own capsules for the Nespresso machine.

As the property has unfenced access to the beach, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water

There is a kayak available to use but guests must bring their own life-jackets to gain access to this

About the location

This beautiful coastal settlement sits on the shores of the Ngunguru estuary on the Tutukaka coast - home to the sandy beaches of Mataporui and Whale Bay. Days in this stunning part of New Zealand can be spent walking the Whangaumu Bay - Ngunguru Estuary Walkway, or strolling through the mangroves along the waterfront. Or for a day in the water head to the Poor Knight Islands, one of the world's most popular scuba diving locations, located just off the Ngunguru coast.
