    “We had a lovely holiday in the cottage by the Clutha River.”

    We were warm and cosy. Loved the ambiance and reading material especially the hiking books. A couple of things were absent from the kitchen such as good knives and we bought a salad bowl and left it for you otherwise everything was great. Next time we come we would love to use the bicycles. Cheers Liz

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

Built in 1860 this gorgeous stone cottage is one of the oldest houses in the Wanaka region. Step back in time and still have all the modern essentials for an amazing holiday in Wanaka. With a fireplace in the kitchen and underfloor heating almost throughout you won't be short of warmth while you enjoy some cosy holiday living. This is the ideal set up for a getaway! With 3 bedrooms across this fully renovated multi-level home there is ample space for your family or group. On the ground level, bedroom 1 is fitted with a queen bed, upstairs, bedroom 2 has a queen bed and bedroom 3 has two single beds. Positioned in a stunning park like setting this spot is just the ticket for a refreshing break away. For local amenities, an easy 10 minute walk to the end of the road will have you at the local shops for Albert Town, or make your way into the heart of Wanaka centre less than 10 minute drive away. For a cosy winter stay, treat yourself and unwind at Wanaka’s Stone Cottage!

As the property has unfenced access to a flowing river, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.
