Linen
Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
The Black Bach is a 2-bedroom plus sleepout Mt Maunganui bach, with compact and modern interior, now with Wi-Fi! Just a few minutes from the ocean beach, this bright and homely haven is a perfect wee beach break! This Mt Maunganui holiday home includes funky open-plan living, with a cosy set-up for your stay – everything you need for a fun beach base is on hand. Kick back on the couch and catch your favourite TV show, or unwind on the deck for sunshine and BBQs! There is a great, flat lawn area where the kids can play, and the property is fully fenced, making it ideal for families and guests travelling with pets. Bedroom 1 at this Mt Maunganui accommodation is fitted with a queen bed, while Bedroom 2 has two single beds (foldout beds permanently made up) – an ideal set-up for couples or a family. (Bedroom 2 and the living areas are fairly compact.) There is also a sleepout, which is fitted with two king single beds. This modern, tastefully presented house is a cute option for your next getaway at The Mount – stay on site and chill out with your group, or hit the beach for days in the sand and surf... There is a boogie board available for guest use. For an excellent selection of cafes and restaurants, a 10-minute drive will have you in the heart of The Mount... The Black Bach welcomes you – and your pets – to Mt Maunganui!
While the home comfortably accommodates up to four guests, the living area is cosy and perfectly suited for a family looking for a relaxed and comfortable stay.
Please note that the two single beds in bedroom two are single fold up beds, which are permanently made up.
Please keep in mind that the sleepout at this property with 2 King Single Beds is accessed externally and the bathroom is inside the main dwelling.
The drive is not suitable for trailers or wide vehicles.

“A few days after I made the booking, I was contacted and informed that a bond of $750 was required.”
This should have been displayed in the advertisement that a bond is a required and the amount. I also had to contact Bachcare a few days after my return to release the bond. I found the property was too small. It rained most of the time we were there and there wasn’t enough room in the living areas to eat and entertain comfortably. The property is suited for a small group of maybe 3 or 4 people. 5 people is too many.
