Linen

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

With the shores of Golden Bay in your backyard, Seaside on Selwyn is the perfect beach getaway! This accommodation is split over two levels and provides three bedrooms, sleeping up to six. A modern full bathroom and separate toilet will leave everybody well-refreshed after a day at the beach! Light and airy, this holiday home provides an open-plan kitchen and dining area with modern appliances and a centre-island bench. Well-equipped with couches, chairs, TV and a wood burning fireplace, the lounge is the perfect chill-out spot. The wrap-around decking means the indoor-outdoor flow is eminent throughout this property. Step through the ranch slider and take in the uninterrupted views of Golden Bay! With plenty of outdoor furniture, take a seat and crank up the complimentary BBQ. Imagine dining as you hear the ocean roar and the sun begins to set! This accommodation will make sure you get the most out of your holiday. With two bikes and two kayaks provided, you can explore both the streets and bay of this beachside village! Back at home, there’s plenty of grass and a garden seating area to relax in the shade! A separate laundry with washing machine is an added convenience. Here, the beach is quite literally in your backyard, but there’s plenty else to do nearby as well! If you’re looking for a new beach to explore, the settlements of Ligar Bay and Tata Beach are just 5 and 8 minutes up the road, respectively. Meanwhile, the town of Takaka is an 8-minute drive down the road and provides everything you need including a supermarket, restaurants and cafes! With the golden sand right on your doorstep, make Seaside on Selwyn your next beach retreat!

As the property has unfenced access to the beach, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.

There are life-jackets available to use with the kayaks but we do recommend that guests bring their own well-fitting life-jackets to ensure safety.

About the location

Pohara Beach is a beachside town popular with holiday-goers, located just 10 minutes from Takaka. The vast golden sand beach is perfect for a day spent kayaking, swimming, boating or fishing, or just relaxing on the beach with your favourite book. Staying here also puts you close to the Abel Tasman Coast Track, where you can go on guided day trips or tackle the multi-day great walk.
