This delightful apartment, ‘motelish’ in layout, enjoys a superb absolute beachfront position in the middle of the southern family-friendly end of Whangamata beach – awarded “New Zealand’s Best Beach 2017â€.
A full internal renovation was completed in late 2018, and the space is best described as ‘small but perfectly formed’. The second bedroom comprises single bunks one above the other, so the unit is most ideally suited to a couple or parent with one or two kids up to early teens. The apartment has unlimited high speed fibre WiFi.
Table tennis is available just outside the internal door, and the generous lawn space creates plenty of options for parking, sunbathing, and leisure activities. A fully refurbished classic 80’s barbeque sits just outside the ranchslider, complete with tiled wing shelves.
When all the lying around and relaxing gets just a bit much, the stunning white sands of Whangamata’s famous beach are literally a stone’s throw from the front door, and beyond that is the sparkling blue water of the Pacific for a refreshing dip.
Whangamata boasts arguably the best golf course on the Coromandel Peninsula, excellent fishing including surfcasting, numerous bushwalks nearby including the Wentworth Valley Falls, plenty of highly recommended cafes and restaurants, and of course its world famous surf break just a stroll along the beach. Often the waves right out front will satisfy the less adventurous surfer.
After a long day of surf, sand, and sun, nothing quite beats drifting off to sleep to the soothing sounds of the ocean rolling up on the beach.
