What makes Cathedral Cove so distinct and popular is its unique rock formations, beautiful sand, calm surf and its secluded setting. Close to both Cooks beach and Hot Water Beach which are also found on the Coromandel Peninsula – this beach beats its neighbours for the top spot in our list in part due to its famous rock archway which is also its namesake.
