Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. Weâll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Discover Gold Miners Cottage, a historical place at the edge of the Bannockburn sluicing and converted to a contemporary holiday home for families or couples looking to explore the beautiful Central Otago region. With its well-appointed spaces, modern amenities, and sun-drenched outdoor space, it offers the perfect blend of serenity and convenience. The cottage was built in the early 1870s by John Short, a miner from Scotland. It was constructed from mud brick and remained in the Short family for over 140 years. It has been carefully renovated by its current family, retaining its charm but providing modern comforts. The outdoors features an extensive area with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards. The living area is tastefully furnished, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up delicious meals for your loved ones. Head off for the night to the comfortable and inviting bedrooms with plush bedding and cozy atmosphere, providing you with a restful sleep after a day of adventures. Please note that one of the queen rooms, with an ensuite bathroom ,is in a separate dwelling adjacent to the main cottage - ideal for those wanting extra peace and quiet. Located close to a range of Central Otago attractions, including bike trails, wineries, restaurants, and outdoor activities, Gold Miners Cottage is the perfect base for exploring everything the beautiful region has to offer. Whether you're looking to relax and unwind or get out and explore, this lovely holiday home has something for everyone.
