“We had an enjoyable stay at Hideaway - we've been staying at The Chalets for some 25+ years and have always had a great time.”
We were a little disappointed to find we could no longer have access to the pool/spa complex. In the past we had always been given a key to use that facility.
We also noted that some towels/tea towels had been put out for our use. We didn't use these as we'd previously arranged with Bachcare to bring our own.
All in all, though, a very comfortable stay - thank you.

“Nice & quiet location.”
The fridge was not working when we arrived but was replaced the next day. Still cost me the better part of a day that I couldn't spend at the beach. The new kitchen was nice.
The deck is nice but outdoor furniture could do with a bit of attention. The BBQ wasn't working (no gas bottle), the large table has a broken leg, and there is nothing to shade the deck.
A couple of the beds could do with new mattresses (e.g. upstairs on the left) and the sofas are all so worn out that its a struggle to get up and out.

Bachcare
Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. Weâll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

This 2-storey holiday cabin makes for cosy and sunny holiday spot with the sun beaming in the large floor-ceiling windows and ranch sliders. Make a hot drink to start your day and wander out to the balcony for the fresh morning air. Maybe even have breakfast alfresco looking out over the town of Onemana.
When you get home from a day spent on the beach, unwind in the open-plan living area that offers the ideal cosy and comfortable area for everyone to put their feet up. Make use of the modern kitchen, fully equipped for any holiday meals and an easy space to keep clean so you can spend more time down on the beach.

When you finally feel like leaving the house, there are plenty of nearby scenic spots for you to visit from beach days at Onemana to Whangamata Beach to going for scenic walks and admiring the stunning nature at Wentworth Valley. Or take a wander down to the beach, the tennis courts, the children's playground or the reserve. There is something for everybody!
With the right balance of coastal access and a cosy place to call home for the family, The Hideaway welcomes you!

As the mezzanine barrier is below 1 metre high, all guests should take care in this area due to the risk of falls.

About the location
Just north from the popular beach town Whangamata, Onemana is a beautiful and secluded beach, perfect for those who want to escape and unwind. The beach is characteristic of a classic Coromandel East Coast gem with white sand, great swimming and azure waters. Popular activities here include surfing, diving, snorkelling and fishing. The town is equipped with a grocery store and cafe, and the facilities of Whangamata are just a 10 minute drive away. All of our Onemana holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
