“There were numerous things that were misleading about this property on booking.”

The major issue being the 4th double bedroom was downstairs in the garage. Exposed to the cold, far away from others in the house and we were unable to use it as a bedroom which made sleeping arrangements difficult as a party of 8 (2 families). Another inconvenience for our travels was the washing machine was not working. When we called Bachcare they said they knew about this and therefore had not listed a washing machine on the listing, rather than get it fixed. There were a few general ...

Another inconvenience for our travels was the washing machine was not working. When we called Bachcare they said they knew about this and therefore had not listed a washing machine on the listing, rather than get it fixed. There were a few general maintenance issues such as broken tiles on front steps, blocked drain in the shower and temperamental gas stove top. The saving grace for this property was the spectacular view and proximity to town, a 10 min walk. For other s considering this property I would check these issues were amended before booking.

“We would not stay in this property again.”

Pros: - Awesome views! Magical sceneries right from the lounge - Huge space, great for large groups - Fireplace was definitely a bonus - Floor heating kept 80% of us warm Cons: - Lots of clutter all around the house, it's a safety issue (vacuum cleaner left on the floor w/ its attachments everywhere, bed linens dumped in the basement). Consider locking all of this in one of the storage rooms? - Carpets were disgusting (sorry to say this) - Floor heating did not work in one bedroom (the one right beneath the kitchen). A couple of our guests had to sleep in a cold room. - Some of the window frames were mouldy - Bathroom was not prepped. No toilet paper. Had to scrounge around and found a bottle of body wash and shampoo that was only a quarter full. - Neighbours were either nosy or rude. On our first day, we had one knock on the front door to berate us for taking the yellow bin out (we did not, it was already there when we arrived). Another time, we were loading a toddler and an infant in the car for a trip to town and another neighbour rudely asked us to move our car. We were not blocking the way, we were stopped in front of the garage. Overall feedback - The price does not justify the lack of comfort and cleanliness. Location and views are amazing, but not enough.

Loud and light and night. Could do with a good dust/wipe down. Scarce kitchenware/cooking equipment - and filthy. Bbq was gross.
